Loogootee High School Workplace Simulation Project a Success

Over a whole semester, students from three different STEM classes worked together to "detect, analyze, and deter" model intruder robots. A grant from Skill UP! Indiana Department of Workforce Development made this Workplace Simulation Project possible. 2018 was the first year of the pilot project.

Balfour Scholars Program immerses first-generation teens in college life

The students I interact with as director of the Balfour Scholars Program remind me of myself. Like me, they come from similar under-resourced and underrepresented backgrounds. Just like the Balfour scholars, I participated in a pre-college program that inspired me to achieve academic and professional excellence, thus I am living proof that these types of programs do work.
