The Center for P-16 Research and Collaboration has partnered with Indiana University Title VI Area Studies Centers (Center for the Study of the Middle East, East Asian Studies Center, Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center, and Russian and East European Institute) on the professional development opportunity for middle and high school social studies teachers. In this workshop, subject-matter specialists from IU Bloomington’s Title VI Area Studies Centers will present content related to the theme of Global Explorations, Conquest and Imperialism: Investigating Their Origins, Circumstances and Consequences. The presentations connect the theme with Social Studies Standards for Civics and Government, World History, and Geography and are held at Indiana Education Service Centers.
